Railway Recruitment 2019: 1,30,000 vacancies announced, important details and dates to know

Registration for NTPC posts will begin from February 28, 2019.

Railway Recruitment 2019: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and Railway Recruitment Cells (RRCs) have released notification for around 1,30,000 vacancies for the posts of non-technical categories (NTPC), paramedical staff, ministerial and isolated categories and level 1 posts. Interested candidates can visit RRB’s official websites, www.rrbcdg.gov.in and www.indianrailways.gov.in. All the latest information related to these vacancies can be downloaded from the mentioned websites. 

Important dates to remember 

Registration for NTPC posts will begin from February 28, 2019. For paramedical staff recruitment, registration will start from March 4 while for RRB ministerial and isolated categories post, registration will begin on March 8. For level 1 posts, registration will begin from March 12.

What posts are available? 

Under RRB NTPC posts, vacancies for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Trains Clerk, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Commercial Apprentice, Station Master among others are available.

Posts available under RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories include Stenographer, Chief Law Assistant, Junior Translator (Hindi). Under RRB Para-Medical Staff, posts available are for Staff Nurse, Pharmacist, ECG Technician, Lab Assistant, Health and Malaria Inspector and Lab Superintendent.

Refund of fees
For all candidates except the fee concession categories, out of the Rs 500 total fee, an amount of Rs 400 will be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in 1st Stage.

For candidates belonging to SC/ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ PwBDs / Female / Transgender/ Minorities / Economically Backward Class, the fee of Rs 250 shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable on appearing in 1st Stage CBT.
