Rajeev Gulati has bought a bungalow in Delhi's Vasant Vihar for Rs 36 crore. The area of the property is 355 square metre.

He reportedly paid Rs 2.16 crore as stamp duty. The sale took place on August 23. Who is Rajeev Gulati?

Rajeev Gulati is the son of late MDH founder, Mahashay Dharampal Gulati. He is currently the CEO of the company.

The house is located in Vasant Vihar. The Gulati family lives in the same area.

Mahashay Dharampal Gulati passed away in 2020. However, he had been a regular feature of all MDH advertisements.

Gulati is the son of founder and former CEO of MDH, Mahashian Di Hatti. He has been associated with the company for quite a long time now and he is often credited for expanding the spice brand to international markets such as US, Canada, UK and others.

Rajeev Gulati now appears in MDH ads.

Mahashay Dharampal Gulati was born in 1923 in Sialkot. His father, Mahashay Chunnilal, ran a small spice shop in the city, named Mahashian Di Hatti.

They had a thriving business. However, in 1947, the family had to leave everything in Sialkot and take refuge in India. He was just 24 years old. His first job in India was driving a Tonga from New Delhi Railway Station to Qutab Road and Karol Bagh.

In 1948, he started Mahashian Di Hatti in Karol Bagh. In 1953, he started a shop in Chandni Chowk. In 1959, he entered manufacturing.

The company was incorporated in 1965. It is the second biggest spices company in India.
