In the wake of Tanushree Dutta's allegations against veteran actor Nana Patekar on the sets of Horn OK Please, Union Minister Maneka Gandhi has spoken in favour of the actress, saying that we should start something called Me Too India and that harassment of any kind won't be tolerated. Tanushree has alleged Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of the film Horn Ok Pleassss, about a decade back.

While a number of celebs have come out in support of the Aashiq Banaya Aapne actress, many big names from the industry chose either not to comment or evaded a direct answer. When asked about the same, Maneka Gandhi said, "Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. We were the first govt to start 'SHe Box' on social media & women who wrote to us saying they are harassed, we took action immediately," reports ANI.

The agency further quoted Gandhi as saying, "I feel we should also start something called 'Me Too India' in which any woman who has been harassed at any point should write to us and we should investigate. For the first time NCW is going into every case complained to us and we go in detail."

For those who've come in late, in her recent interviews, Tanushree Dutta has claimed that she had to walk out of the sets of Horn OK Pleassss, because Nana Patekar was allegedly harassing her. She was supposed to shoot for an item song and apparently, Nana Patekar insisted on not just being present on the sets when he wan't even required, but also took particular interest in teaching her the choreography and dance steps as well.

The actress has further alleged that later on Nana Patekar insisted on adding an intimate step with her in the song, which wasn't there in the first place and she had to walk out of the sets, post which she and her father had to face a mob attack, which as per Tanushree, was done by members of a political party on the actor's instructions.

Bollywood celebrities like Swara Bhasker, Sonam Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra among others have tweeted in favour of the actress and come out in her support. Meanwhile, Nana Patekar is currently shooting for Housefull 4 in Jaisalmer.
