Yash Johar's dream of 15 years aka Kalank had a good start at the Box Office. Karan Johar's long-awaited dream-project Kalank, which released on Wednesday, however, is barely able to stand strong at the Box Office. Not only did the film witness 50% drop after day two, but it couldn't even hold on to collections on Monday.

Alia BhattVarun DhawanAditya Roy KapurSonakshi SinhaMadhuri Dixit Nene and Sanjay Dutt starrer Kalank dropped majorly on Monday. After the little kick on Sunday, the collection dropped up to 70%. According to Box Office India, the movie collected Rs. 3.50 on Monday, after minting Rs. 11.63 crore on Sunday and Rs. 9.75 crore on Saturday.

The movie, which, in usual cases, should have crossed or at least come closer to Rs. 100-crore mark by the time, has barely made business of Rs. 75 crore in nine days. The movie, according to the report, did not work in any provinces and theatres went empty.

Kalank, made on a budget of Rs. 150-crore, did not show any growth post its first day. Friday should have ideally been the day for the film to mint money, considering it was Good Friday and Hanuman Jayanti holidays, but the movie did not work either on Friday or over the weekends. Monday, a working day, of course could not help in boosting the collections.

The lead actress of the film Alia Bhatt responded to the movie's weak state and said, "I'm not going to analyse my film because that is something not required. Audience verdict is the biggest proof for a film and when the audience does not accept a film then it should not do well. That's just the way it is. We should accept it, come back, try and make sure they're not disappointed next time."

Kalank, if it survives till Friday, might go out of theatres after Avengers: Endgame, the much-awaited Hollywood film, releases in India. The movie's collections are bound to get no boost in comparison to the finale installment of Avengers franchise.
