Due to the Arjun-Malaika romance, which has now become the talk of the town, Salman is now breaking ties with Arjun’s father Boney too
Bollywood actor Salman Khan, for obvious reasons, isn’t too pleased to hear and know about Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora’s romantic life. Malaika got divorce from her husband of 16-years, Arbaaz Khan, who also happens to be Salman’s brother. The Bharat actor is known to keep his family first and if gossip mills are to be believed then Arjun was the reason for Arbaaz-Malaika split. This has visibly fumed Salman, who has been avoiding Arjun at various gatherings.
However the superstar had deep respects for Boney Kapoor, who revived his career with Wanted. But what comes as a surprise is that due to the Arjun-Malaika romance, which has now become the talk of the town, Salman is now breaking ties with Arjun’s father Boney too. If reports are anything to go by, Salman has walked out of Wanted 2 and No Entry Mein Entry, both which were his career-defining films, due to the same reason.
A source close to the Khan-daan told Deccan Chronicle, “Arjun first dated Salman’s youngest sister Arpita. He broke up with her and became friends with Malaika Arora who was married to Salman’s brother Arbaaz. That was when Salman began to get annoyed with Arjun. But the latter convinced Bhai that he would never do anything to hurt the Khan family. But after Malaika’s divorce from Arbaaz, her public appearances with Arjun and whispers all around of their impending marriage, Salman is livid.”
Boney and Arjun Kapoor were always close to each other – Arjun even acted in Boney’s film Tevar – but they came even closer post Sridevi’s demise last year. Co-incidentally Malaika also got divorced to Arbaaz in 2017, and since then, Arjun and Malaika, who were otherwise not spotted as often, started making public appearances and even introduced one another to their families.
