Kajol Devgan celebrates her 44th birthday on Sunday with the release of the trailer of her upcoming film 'Helicopter Eela'
It is a special day for actress Kajol Devgan, not only because she celebrates her 44th birthday on sunday, but also because the trailer of her upcoming film Helicopter Eela has released.
A look at the trailer of the film and one understands that Kajol plays a mother who seems to have left behind her hobbies and career to raise her child.
Not happy with how his mother is leading her life, Eela's (Kajol) son suggests that she should finish her education, only to invite trouble for himself.
A peppy Eela joins her son's college and lands in his very classroom to study with him. The premise has been presented with the right dose of humour in the first few minutes of the trailer, but the essence of the movie comes out towards the end of the video, where we see Eela and her son’s world collide. Emotional outbursts, love and restraint make the story intense.
However, a sensible advice by Neha Dhupia to Kajol (Eela) puts things into perspective.
Will Eela pursue her hobbies and make a name for herself? Will the college adventure bring the mother-son duo closer or will it make them distant?
These are few of the questions that shall linger once you watch the trailer of the film.

Earlier while talking about her role in the film, Kajol, as quoted by The Indian Express had said, “As a mother, I felt a real connection with Eela’s character. She loves her son unconditionally and has built her life around him. But as he grows up, she finds herself becoming more and more dispensable. She has also put her life and dreams on hold, like so many mothers do. This is a life situation that so many women face once their kids grow up. And, one that I will inevitably face is, what do I do now? How do I hold on to my baby? In a way, Helicopter Eela is a coming of age film, more for Eela rather than it is for her son!”
Directed by Pradeep Sarkar and written by Mitesh Shah, Helicopter Eela's trailer is a perfect amalgamation of happy and sad, fun and intense.
The film produced by actor Ajay Devgn, starring Riddhi Sen, Neha Dhupia and Tota Roy Chowdhury in key roles, is slated to release on September 7.
