Meet AAYAT urf Afreen, an IndiGo air hostess who went viral after 'Manike Mage Hithe' dance video

'Manike Mage Hithe' is one of the most popular Instagram reels videos which went viral after a version of it was sung by Sri Lankan singer Yohani Diloka De Silva. A video especially was much loved on social media where an IndiGo airline air hostess danced to the song on an empty flight. 

The video shows the air hostess dressed in her uniform and PPE kit and taking advantage of an empty flight to dance her heart out. The video was posted by an Instagram user named Aayat Urf Afreen who ould be seen dancing in the aisle of the flight during a 'long halt'. The video is being massively shared and seen by the users and has 13 million views on it already.

Who is Aayat? 

Aayat works as an air hostess for IndiGo Airlines. Her Instagram bio describes her as an entrepreneur, stewardess, and a 'monotheist'. She is also a content creator. Aayat also has a YouTube channel called 'Life camera Aafreeeen!'

On Instagram, Aayat boasts of a following of more than 1,51,000 and often shares photos with her followers. 

As for the viral video, Aayat's killer expressions and the ease with which she performs the song are the highlight of the dance. She captioned the video saying, "Long halts! Aur crew thoda sa dance na karein. Thanks to @jodianoorabh for these lovely steps."

Notably, the song, 'Manike Mage Hithe' is a Sinhala song by Satheeshan Rathnayaka. It was released in 2020. The song caught fire when a new version of it was released back in May.
