Drawing inspiration from South Indian star Rajinikanth, tea-seller in Nagpur serves tea with unique swagger

‘Dolly ki Tapri', the famous tea stall in Maharashtra’s Nagpur, is becoming very popular on the internet. The stall owner's unique way of serving chai to its customers has grabbed a lot of eyeballs.

With his long hair streaked with colour, the guy is known for pouring milk into the tea from a considerable height without any spillage. He also hands out change very quickly, owing to his quick mental maths ability. He has a swagger and style about him equalled by no one in his line of business.

He also has an out-of-the-ordinary way of lighting up the cigarettes of his customers.

To make sure the world comes to know about this maverick chailwala, a group called ‘Street Food Recipes’, posted the video on its Facebook page which went viral. 

He has been serving chai at his stall for 20 years. He opens his tea-stall at  6 am in the morning and shuts down the shop at 9 pm.

Commenting on bringing a certain sense of swagger to something as bland as being a tea-seller, he said that he draws inspiration from South Indian movies, and superstar Rajinikanth, and tries to add a larger-than-life dimension to his work.

He is always committed to making his customers feel welcome and gives free elaichi to the first-time visitors of his stall.
