Delhi: A recent video circulating on social media captures a violent altercation that erupted between customers and employees at a Croma store in Delhi's Kamla Nagar. This incident, which occurred yesterday, has garnered significant attention, primarily because of the highly anticipated release of Apple's iPhone 15 series in India.

The excitement was palpable among iPhone enthusiasts as the new series hit the shelves on Friday, September 22. Eager customers had gathered outside various stores across the country, hoping to be among the first to acquire the latest iPhone model. However, trouble unfolded at the Kamla Nagar Croma store when employees declined to sell the iPhone 15 Pro to a specific customer.

The video footage depicts a heated exchange of punches and verbal insults involving two customers and several store employees. Witnesses reported that tensions escalated when the customer's request for the iPhone 15 Pro was denied, resulting in a furious outburst and a physical altercation.

During the confrontation, the two customers resorted to physical violence against the employees, even tearing the shirt of one unfortunate staff member. The situation took a more disturbing turn when the turban of a Sikh man involved in the scuffle became dislodged during the incident.

According to the police report, a PCR call was received on September 22, 2023, regarding a dispute at the Croma Showroom in Roop Nagar Bungalow Road. Upon arrival at the scene, the authorities identified two individuals, Jaskirat Singh and Mandeep Singh from Nirankari Colony. They had booked a mobile phone at the Croma Center, with the delivery promised for September 22. However, the shop failed to deliver the phone as agreed.

In response to this delay, the customers engaged in a physical altercation and assaulted the Croma staff. Consequently, the Delhi Police took preventive action against the customers under sections 107/151 of the CrPc, leading to the arrest of both individuals.

Furthermore, the demand for the iPhone 15 Pro Max has been exceptionally high, with customers lining up outside stores to secure the latest model. Notably, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the iPhone 15 series is expected to reach a shipment volume of 80 million units by the end of 2023, with production challenges arising due to the soaring demand for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Additionally, Apple has introduced carbon-neutral models in their new Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2.
