This is how much Sreesanth is earning per week for Bigg Boss 12

Former Team India member S Sreesanth is currently a part of the reality TV show Big Boss. 

While initial reports suggested that the cricketer was the lowest earner with just Rs 5 lakh per week in the Bigg Boss house, recent reports suggest otherwise. 

According to TNN, Sreesanth is getting paid the highest amount this season. Sreesanth is getting paid Rs 50 lakh per week for Bigg Boss 12, said the report quoting sources close to the cricket star.

The report also said that Sreesanth had threatened to walk out of the Bigg Boss house but decided to stay after he was informed that he would have pay Rs 50 lakh as penalty for walking out. 

Sreesanth was handed a lifetime ban by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for his involvement in the 2013 IPL spot-fixing incident. 

The former cricketer opened up about serving a lifetime ban for his involvement in the 2013 IPL spot-fixing scandal on the show. The cricketer said, “Why am I not allowed on the ground? In future, if my kid decides to become a cricketer, I can’t even accompany him to a school’s playground. I, in fact, can’t access any playground in the entire world. That’s how the rule is!"

All the 36 accused in the spot-fixing case, including Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila, were let off by a Patiala House court in July, 2015. The BCCI had however refused to alter its disciplinary decision even after the verdict.

Sreesanth is currently fighting a legal battle against the ban.
