Terming the reports as 'loose talk', Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal said, "The truth is far from otherwise. I have just not been well, of late."
TV actor Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who essays the role of Roshan Kaur Sodhi -- Gurucharan Singh aka Roshan Singh Harjeet Singh Sodhi's wife, in the hit sitcom 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', has cleared the air on reports of her quitting 'TMKOC' and her pregnancy.
Recently, media reports suggested that the actress has quit the show after she wasn't spotted with the show's unit when it returned to Mumbai from Daman post lockdown restrictions were eased. Another reason for speculation was that Jennifer has been missing from the show for the last two months.
However, Jennifer opened up on the reports and said that she has been unwell. She also took the opportunity to slam those who 'jump to conclusions based on their own whims and fancies'.
Terming the reports as 'loose talk', in an interview with ETimes, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal said, "I have been getting too many messages since last night if I have quit Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Some are even asking if I am pregnant. The truth is far from otherwise. I have just not been well, of late."
Jennifer revealed that she had requested the makers of 'TMKOC' to exempt her from the shoot in Daman due to her ill-health. "I had a lot of pain in the heel, which made my walk discomforting. I was on very strong medicines but the problem did not subside soon," Jennifer added. "It wasn't COVID but the fever only added to my woes," she further said.
As for joining the 'TMKOC' cast after a short break, Jennifer said she is all geared up to get back to shoot and is in touch with the team. "I am in touch with the team and there's no problem. I don't know why people jump to conclusions based on their own whims and fancies," Jennifer concluded.
