Dheeraj Dhoopar confirmed for lead role in 'Naagin 5'

After 'Naagin 4' wrapped up a few days back, Ekta Kapoor and the team of the successful show are set for a new season. While there is still speculation about who would play the female lead on the Television daily soap, actor Dheeraj Dhoopar has been confirmed as the male lead in it.

Mainly remembered for his roles in 'Kumkum Bhagya', 'Kundali Bhagya' and 'Sasural Simar Ka', Dheeraj Dhoopar has now been roped in for 'Naagin 5'. Dheeraj confessed that he is already a huge fan of the show.

Talking about playing the lead in Naagin 5, Dheeraj Dhoopar said, "This is an extremely exciting time for me. To act in a show like Naagin, which enjoys such a rich legacy and is the top show on television, is a dream for any actor. I am a huge fan of the show, and I am thrilled about the part because it is unlike anything I have ever played before. There are always a lot of incredible VFX used in Naagin, and it will be a whole new experience for me because I have never done that kind of a role before. It will be great to work with Ekta Kapoor and be associated with COLORS again!"

'Naagin 5' comes in the middle of the COVID-19 lockdown. The show is recently in news after fans have speculated that their much-loved actor Hina Khan has joined the show. 'Naagin 4', featuring Nia Sharma and Vijayendra Kumeria, had to be shut down owing to the pandemic. Jasmin Bhasin was recently replaced on the show with 'Bigg Boss 13' contestant Rashami Desai.
