Google Maps for iOS finally has an update that introduces rest stops, a few months since it dropped for the Android app in October 2015.

When you're in navigation mode, you can tap the magnifying glass in the top right corner to drop down a menu with stop suggestions, like fuel stations, or fast food joints. Once you click on the stop of choice, Google Maps will map out a new route, and calculate how much time your detour will cost you, all while tracking your progress on the current route.

The new detour feature will roll out to iOS users in all countries that currently have navigation mode active.
