The former Liverpool and England legend, whose LA Galaxy contract expires in November, has been in constant touch with Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp.
One of English football's greatest ever midfielders, Steven Gerrard, is on his way to a potential comeback to Liverpool.
Gerrard, whose LA Galaxy contract expires in November, could be a free agent once Galaxy’s progress in the Major League Soccer play-offs is decided. The 36-year-old insists he still enjoys playing, training and competing. “I’m wondering whether I should play on for a little bit longer or whether I should call it a day. I’m going to be a long time retired and so I still want to enjoy things while I’m still feeling good," he says.
According to a report in the Mirror, the former Liverpool legend has been in constant touch with current Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp. Gerrard has stated in the past that Liverpool is the only Premier League club he would play for.
Another role he is looking at is that of player-manager. This news is sure to send English clubs into a frenzy. Having a legend like Gerrard in their ranks is definitely going to be an attractive proposition. "I’m around 60% through my A licence and I’m hoping to have that finished by the end of the year so we’ll go from there," he says.
