Four loan schemes for Muslim students

In what comes as good news for students belonging to the minority group, the Centre has announced four new loan schemes for them.

As per the schemes, any number of students can take benefits for education of courses from one year courses to five year professional courses. The loans will be channelled through the Maulana Azad Minority Financial Development Corporation (MAMFDC). The details of the same are available on www.mamfdc.org.

“Loans up to Rs3 lakh will be given for small skill development courses of one year duration, and up to Rs6 lakh fr PG courses,” said Amin Patel, chairman of MAMFDC.”

Loans will also be provided to students going abroad or studying outside Maharashtra.
