For all those who keep a watch over dates and calendars, they would be excited to know that today (January 21, 2021) is a special day. January 21, 2021 is the 21st day of the 21st year of the 21st century. It is very rare that we encounter such a day in a year. This particular date can only occur once in a century.

"Guys, today is the 21st day of the 21st year of the 21st century. This won't happen again until January 22 2122," expressed a user on Twitter.

As more and more social media users are realising the uniqueness of this date, they are sharing messages, expressing their surprise and joy at the occasion. Many are sharing messages of good luck and fortune with each other online as well.

Some even joked about the hype with the date as well.

"21st day of the year, 21st year of the century, 21st century of the calendar. I wish I were alive in 17th January of the 17th Year of the 17th century. Would have been epic," said one user.

Another made a tweet, "Wish you very nice and magic day today, bcz today is the 21st day, the 21st year and the 21st century another such date will be again in 100 years. Wish you just the very best vibs. and fulfillment al you wishes... and it will bring something  positive to all mankind"

Some went even further, suggesting that 9:21 pm would make it the 21st minute of the 21st hour of this special day too.

"Just realized that Today is the 21st day of the 21st year of the 21st century. Tonight at 9.21.21 pm it will be 21 hours 21 minutes and 21 seconds of the 21st day of the 21st year of the 21st Century," a user pointed out in a tweet.

Some naysayers came out to say that it was actually the 22nd year as 2000 would be considered the first year of the century.

To which, a user replied on Twitter, "Happy 21st day of the 21st year of the 21 century. (I also just learned that the 21st century did start on Jan 1, 2001, because a year "0" does not exist in the Gregorian calendar.)"
