There’s a group trying to divide and weaken the nation: J Nandkumar

Today there is a war between make India brigade and break India brigade and current education system plays a major role in this battle as it has shifted its centre of gravity from Indian values to western. RSS think tank and national convener of Prajna Pravah, a body working towards developing ‘Indianness’ in the education system reform in higher education J Nandkumar, expressed these opinion at a seminar held in Jaipur on Thursday.    

The seminar titled - Vartman Paripeksh Mein Bharteey Gyan Parampara - is part of series of nationwide discourse aimed towards initiating academicians and scholars to adopt Indian education values and participate in revival of ancient knowledge system. “Academicians will have to come forward and participate without expecting material benefit and disseminate the knowledge of Indianness,” said J Nandkumar, who was the main speaker.    

“There is a group of people who are trying to divide and weaken the nation. For them Akbar is a model and they run down Maharana Pratap and Chhatrapati Shivaji. This is the narrative that needs to be checked. True history needs to come forth,” he said.  

“History is not just about kings. Science, technology, medicine, architecture, art and literature are all part of our history. Lack of knowledge about our roots is a problem of present system. Pragnya Pravaah is committed to making concerted efforts to achieve these goals through interactions and discourse in educational institutes across various states,” said J Nandkumar.
