Man lured to invest Rs 5 lakh duped

The man got into the investment trap and continued paying fraudster Rs 1,500 per day for one and a half years

A person usurped five lakh rupees from a grocer by bluffing him to invest in a private company. When the grocer demanded his money back, the person began to ignore him. The police registered a case of fraud on the libel received from the court.

One Dinesh Kumar, resident of Anantram Bagechi, living in Chopasni village told the police in a report that he is owner of a grocery shop located near Chopasni School. It so happened that Ramdayal, resident of Nayapura Chaukha came to him on February 1, 2016 and lured him into making big profit by investing in a private company.

He got into the trap and started giving him 15 hundred rupees daily. He continued giving him Rs 1,500 a day for one and a half years. When his amount went up to  rupees 5,40,000 and the interest was also rupees 67,500 Ramdayal started referring to the closure of the company with the inability to pay the amount.

Police said that the case has been registered and the accused is being traced. Rajiv Gandhi Nagar police station is investigating into the case.
