AB de Villiers released a new music video which features his Royal Challengers Bangalore team-mates Virat Kohli and Yuzvendra Chahal.
AB de Villiers is acknowledged as the greatest limited overs batsman. Many people know that he is talented in other sports as well. But, did you know that he is a good singer as well? Recently, AB de Villiers released a new song, along with singer-songwriter Karen Zoid and Ndlovu Youth Choir. In this song, it features his South Africa team-mates Anrich Nortje, Dale Steyn and Kagiso Rabada but it also includes two of his team-mates in IPL from Royal Challengers Bangalore and they are Virat Kohli and Yuzvendra Chahal. Taking to Twitter, AB de Villiers shared the music video, and captioned it as, "Wrote this song with @karenzoid & the @ChoirAfrica . We're all so different, but united we form the perfect picture!"
The song is titled FLAME and it is about celebrating the human spirit in tough times. This is not the first time AB de Villiers has released an album. In 2010, he had sung a bilingual pop album. Check out the tweet and the video here.
AB de Villiers in fine form
Currently, AB de Villiers is in the UAE participating in the IPL 2020 for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Virat Kohli’s team are currently in second spot and a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad will boost them into the playoffs. However, they have lost the last two games against Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians and they will be desperate to snap their losing streak.
De Villiers has been in great form with the bat as he smashed 73 off 33 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah and in one game against Rajasthan Royals, he hit 35 in the last two overs to reach a fifty inside 25 balls for the 12th time in the IPL and his knock ensured Royal Challengers Bangalore are not in a bad position.
If Royal Challengers Bangalore lose both their games and Kings XI Punjab win against Chennai Super Kings by a big margin, then they could be eliminated from the playoff race. Royal Challengers Bangalore have never won the IPL 2020 and AB de Villiers will be hoping that he can break the jinx in this edition of the tournament.
