In a story of another police apathy, a video from West Bengal has gone viral on social media. In the video it can be seen, a police personnel threatening and abusing a senior citizen. The incident happened in Bally toll plaza in the Howrah district of West Bengal, reports Zee 24 Ghanta.

The bus was coming from Salap to Dankuni. Owing to no-entry, the bus was stopped in front of the Bally tollplaza. There, an argument broke out between the policemen guarding the toll plaza and the bus driver. The driver was allegedly beaten up. The senior citizen protested police action and attracted the ire of the cops. Subsequently, he was threatened and beaten up. The entire incident was recorded by a co-passenger.

In the video, it can be seen that the police constable is charging at the passenger and then pulls him by his collar. Later, he says that why are you acting like a leader. The police constable goes on to ask the senior citizen to stay within his 'limits' and behave like an 'old man'.

However, the police have denied the allegation. They claim that the bus had entered a wrong lane, and hence they intervened. Police personnel said they were merely trying to persuade the senior citizen and expressed their displeasure at their long work hours, saying they had been working since the 4 AM in the morning.
