Uttar Pradesh government has relaxed the night curfew by two hours from Monday (June 21). The night curfew hours will be from 9 pm to 7 am.

In all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, the government has relaxed the night curfew by two hours from Monday (June 21). According to the new guidelines, the night curfew hours will be from 9 pm to 7 am. The new rules also allow restaurants, eateries and malls to open up for five days a week with 50 per cent capacity from Monday. However, Saturday and Sunday will be weekly holidays.
The decision has been taken by the state government after reviewing the COVID-19 situation in Uttar Pradesh. The order has been issued by Chief Secretary R K Tiwari on Saturday.
During weddings and other functions, a total of 50 people are allowed at both open and closed venues. Also, only 50 people will be allowed in a religious place at a time from June 21, 2021. The rules also permit full attendance permitted in government offices.
The opening of markets outside the containment zones will be allowed.
These relaxations were announced on June 15 which will come into effect from Monday. The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. According to the official statement, CM directed officials to make all necessary arrangements to prevent a possible COVID-19 third wave.
