Even though Pakistan does not miss any opportunity to plot nefarious acts against India, New Delhi is still willing to help it deal with coronavirus. Pakistan will fight the virus with the help of Indian vaccine, which will be made available to him through the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (Gavi). Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, facing a difficult economic situation, has decided not to buy COVID-19 Vaccine, so the 4.5 crore doses of the Made in India vaccine is no less than a boon for him.

The country will receive 45 million doses of Indian manufactured COVID-19 vaccine during March.

Pakistan's National Health Service Secretary Aamir Ashraf Khawaja told that Pakistan will get the dose of vaccine made in India from this month. Khwaja said that the vaccine is being given to front line workers and senior citizens in Pakistan right now.

Notably, Pakistan is currently using the vaccine from China, but it cannot fight the war with COVID-19 on the basis of the Chinese vaccine alone.

It is being said that the country is relying mostly on free doses being provided by the Gavi to inoculate the citizens against the coronavirus as the Chinese-made vaccine CanSino would cost USD 13 or around Pakistani Rs 2,000 per person.

Pakistan will receive a free dose of the Indian-made Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine, which will cover 20 per cent of the country's population. It may be noted that India is supplying the COVID-19 vaccine to 65 countries. According to our partner website WION, till now India has provided vaccine to neighbouring countries like Afghanistan, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh except for Pakistan and vaccination has started in these countries due to India.
