The Congress on Friday fielded party general secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia from Guna Lok Sabha seat in Madhya Pradesh and party spokesperson Manish Tewari from Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency in Punjab as the party declared seven more candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.
With this, the party has announced 386 candidates for the Lok Sabha polls so far.
Scindia is a four-time MP from Guna LS seat. Tewari will be pitted against sitting Akali Dal MP Prem Singh Chandumajra. Sources suggest Tewari was initially seeking a ticket from Chandigarh where the party has fielded Pawan Kumar Bansal.
It fielded Kewal Singh Dhillon from Sangrur LS seat. Shailendra Patel would contest Vidisha and Mona Sustani Rajgarh (both in Madhya Pradesh). It also fielded Rigzin Spalbar from Ladakh in J&K and Shashwat Kedar from Bihar's Valmiki Nagar LS seat.
