To ban employment of children below 14 years in any occupation, a Bill will be presented before the Cabinet soon, a Union Minister said on Tuesday.

"To eradicate child labour under the age of 14, a Bill will be presented before the Union Cabinet and will later be introduced before the Rajya Sabha during the next session," Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya said.

He was talking to reporters at Vemulawada temple town, about 30km from Karimnagar on Tuesday. The minister also said that BJP would emerge as the strongest alternative in Telangana in the 2019 general elections.

Replying to a query whether the TRS would join the BJP government at the Centre, Dattatreya said BJP and TRS are parties with their own ideologies. "However, state governments have to work in tandem with the Centre on development issues," he said.
