The war of words and videos between the BJP and Congress over the Pulwama attack continued on Friday. Both parties came up with videos that showed that both PM Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi continued with their engagements even after the attack on the CRPF personnel was announced.

While the Congress has been publicising a video of PM Modi shooting a video in Uttarakhand on the day, which the BJP claimed was shot before the attack, BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya pointed at a tweet sent out by the Congress's twitter handle showing Gandhi being welcomed by a local cultural troupe in Gujarat during his visit to the state on the same day. In the video, Gandhi is seen shaking hands with the troupe before he poses for a group photo.

The tweet, which was posted at 4:44 pm on the day of the attack, was pulled down later. "Why did the Congress delete this tweet showing Rahul Gandhi dancing after the Pulwama attack?," Malviya tweeted.

Earlier in the day, Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari played a clip of the government-owned Doordarshan TV, wherein PM Modi was shown addressing a rally in Uttarakhand's Rudrapur via a mobile phone. Tiwari said that when the PM's speech was aired live, the time on the screen was 5:09 pm and the ticker read "10 soldiers dead in Pulwama".

"If the PM knew of the attack, why did he not condemn the incident till 5:10 pm, when he was addressing a rally over a mobile phone. And if he did not know for two hours about the attack, then it is a serious problem," said Tiwari.

A day earlier, the Congress's accusation that PM Modi was shooting a documentary was rubbished by the BJP.
