This gesture of Virat kissing his wedding ring after scoring 150 shows how much Anushka means to him

Virat Kohli was at his dominant best as he smashed a daddy ton against South Africa in the second Test on Monday.

Unperturbed by the happenings at the other end, the Indian captain scored his 21st career Test ton to edge the visitors closer to Proteas' first innings score of 335.

Despite the flurry of glorious boundaries from Virat's bat, the highlight of the day was the skipper's celebration after getting to 150.

Virat took off his helmet, which was a surprise in itself considering top batsmen usually don't do that after getting to 150, and then pulled out a chain from inside his shirt. He then kissed a ring hanging on the chain. This ring, of course, was his wedding ring.

Virat got married to Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma in Italy last December. Although the high-profile couple tried to keep things low-key, their wedding was the talk of the town for days on end.

The Indian captain's gesture on Monday shows just how much Anushka means to him. The actress has been at the receiving end of a lot of unwarranted criticism for Virat's failures on the field in the past. The star batsman sure got back at the haters in style.

After accompanying her husband for a brief period in South Africa, Anushka made her way back to India due to her work commitments. Virat, of course, is in the middle of a full-fledged tour of South Africa.

Anushka is back in the country and has begun shooting for Aanand L Rai's Zero with Shah Rukh Khan. The movie is to hit the theatres in December this year.  The actress received a floral welcome on her first day back on the sets of the film.

On the work front, Anushka has a lot of interesting projects this year, beginning with her home production titled Pari, which will release on Holi. She also has Sui Dhaga opposite Varun Dhawan apart from SRK's Zero.
