Selvaraghavan to direct 'Nenjam Marappathillai' for Gautham Menon

It was announced in December last year that director Gautham Menon and Selvaraghavan were joining hands for a new project. The film has now been titled and was officially launched on Thursday. 

Director Selvaraghavan will direct the film, Gautham Menon will be the producer while Escape Artists P Madan will be presenting it. The movie has been titled Nenjam Marappathillai. As it was reported earlier, director-turned-actor  SJ Suryah will star in the movie. Actresses Regina Cassandra and Nandita Sweta have also been roped in for the project.

The director of photography is Aravind Krishna and the music director for the film is Santhosh Narayanan. The art director is Vijay Athinathan.

The filmmakers launched the movie with a simple mahurat in Thiruvanmaiyur, Chennai on Thursday. The shooting of the film also started the same day and they expect to wrap it in March. This movie is not a remake but an original film.

A press note said that director Selvaraghavan is attempting a new genre in Nenjam Marappathillai. It has been reported that the first look of the film will also be released soon.
