The actor underwent a paragliding course at Talegaon with husband Chris George.

Sampada Vaze (Tejaswini of ‘Risshton Ki Dor’) was on cloud nine recently literally! The actor and her husband Chris George undertook a paragliding course at Talegaon where they experienced the bliss of flying high in the sky.

Sampada says, “It was an amazing experience to fly on my own. I flew over vast patches of land; there was water, rocks and even barbed wire beneath. It was scary to fly over these.”

Sampada adds, “I have never done outdoor sports. So I thought of doing this for the thrill of it. Every moment of the adventure was memorable.”

She continues, “Since we were learning to fly, we were equipped with a walkie-talkie and were given instructions on how to manoeuvre the gliders. It is very difficult to control the gliders because we are supposed to sift our way against the direction of the wind. I had got dragged back and almost banged myself into the cliff.”

Interestingly, Sampada had planned this trip as a birthday present for her husband. She shares, “My husband’s birthday was on April 15 but we couldn’t go out then. So the next week we went for a short course in paragliding.”

So how did her husband feel? “He thoroughly enjoyed it. Men are always better at adventure sports. We intend to do the next course also.”
