Meet Parrot that drinks beer and headbangs to music

London: A parrot named Jack reportedly has become a local celebrity as he drinks beer, wears hoodies and headbangs to Status Quo's music.

Norie MacKinnon, of East Kilbride, Scotland, is the owner of the six-year-old macaw.

MacKinnon said that the parrot loved his beer and red wine and nowadays he buys him a pint down the pub where he just takes a few sips out of it, the Daily Star reported.

The 54-year-old owner said that he bought a mate for him a couple of years ago i.e. a female blue and gold macaw called Cheeky, but he couldn't stand her so she had to go.

MacKinnon added that Jack even tries to sing along to songs like 'Whatever You Want' but it just comes out as a squawk.

MacKinnon said that he named it after Jack Sparrow from the 'Pirates of the Caribbean'.
