Javed got Anil Kapoor his big break!

Anil Kapoor may have made his Bollywood debut with Woh Saat Din, but his big break came with Yash Chopra’s Mashaal where he shared screen space with thespian Dilip Kumar.

Shabana Azmi, a close friend of the actor recalls, “Anil never fails to mention Javed’s support of him in his early years. When Javed was pushing Yash Chopra to cast Anil in Mashaal he personally sat and edited bits from MS Sathyu’s Kahan Kahan Se Guzar Gaya to make a showreel for Anil because Javed believed in his talent.”
