Did Nayanthara confirm she's engaged to beau Vignesh Shivan? Watch video

That Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara have been dating for some time now is no secret. And while there have been several media reports that have talked about the wedding plans of the couple, their engagement rumour caught fire when Vignesh Shivan dropped a photo of Nayanthara resting her left hand on his chest and leaning over him with a ring on her finger, back in March 2021. The photo and gone viral on the internet and fans speculated if the two were engaged. However, no official announcement was made by the couple.

Now, in an interview with a television channel, while promoting her Tamil film, Netrikann, lady superstar Nayanthara confirmed that it indeed is an engagement ring on her finger. 

While speaking to show host Dhivyadharshi in the promo video, when asked about her ring, Nayanthara says in Tamil, "This is an engagement ring." Dhivyadharshi then asks Nayanthara what all she likes about Vignesh Shivan, and Nayanthara replies, "Everything."

Vignesh Shivan often shares mushy photos with her ladylove Nayanthara. The couple who are madly and deeply in love with each other, do not miss any opportunity to express their love to each other and share romantic photos on social media. 

Earlier, on March 25, Vignesh had posted a photo of Nayanthara flaunting a ring while resting her hand on his chest. He captioned the post, "Viralodu uyir kooda korthu... (sic)."

On the work front, Nayanthara's 'Netrikann', helmed by Milind Rau, is produced by Vignesh Shivan's maiden production venture under the banner Rowdy Pictures. The film will release on Disney+Hotstar on August 13.
