Court stays release of ‘Pyaar Mein Twist’

Kavita Lankesh, producer and director of 'Preeti Prema Pranaya', has obtained a stay against the release of 'Pyaar Mein Twist' for allegedly lifting her concept. "The producers of the film have screened the film and we will ensure that the court notice is handed over to them in a day or two", Kavita told DNA. The lawyers had faxed a local court order on Friday to prevent the screening of the film across the country.

However, Hriday Shetty, the director of the film, seems unaffected.

"Our film is releasing all over the country and I do not foresee any problem. I am surprised that someone comes up on the eve of the release and claims that it is her story. She had not even seen the film. She judged it by the promos, which were being aired for the last two months. But where was she all this while? This story is inspired by a situation. Sahara One is a big production company and they do not need to steal concepts. Anyway, thanks to her our film has got good publicity. People are flocking to the theatres to watch the film."
