Veteran singer Barbra Streisand has mourned the demise of her 14-year-old dog, Samantha, in an emotional Instagram post.
The 75-year-old songwriter shared the last photo she and the Coton de Tulear pooch had taken together.
"This is the last time my picture was taken with my beloved girl Samantha. May she rest in peace. We cherish every moment of the 14 years we had with her. May 2003 May 2017," Streisand wrote.
Only five days ago, the "Tell Him" hitmaker shared "Happy 14th birthday dear little Sammie."
Streisand has often thrown parties for her dog, taken her on trips with husband James Brolin and written several tributes to Sammie over the years on National Puppy Day.
"I never need an excuse to post a photo of Sammie - look at her face! #NationalPuppyDay," she had posted last year in March alongside her photo with Samantha.
