Filmmaker Harry Baweja says his Punjabi 3D animation film Chaar Sahibzaade, on Guru Gobind Singh and his sons, will also release in foreign languages.

"This is the first time that such a film is being made on such a subject in the history of cinema. Market wise, of course, it has a wide range, and we will release this film in almost all the international languages also after dubbing," Baweja said at the first look launch of the movie here Friday.

Asked why he chose to make an animation film instead of a regular feature film on the subject, Baweja said: "In our religion, making a live action film on Guru Sahib's family is not allowed. That's why we had to make an animation film."

However, there was still another limitation he had to face.

"We are also not allowed to even animate Guru Gobind Singh, that's why he is in still (image) form in the film. So, it's not that we forgot to animate him, it is not permissible actually. That's why he is there in static form," added Baweja.

Chaar Sahibzaade tells the story of the sacrifices of the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh.
