This rise came after his outstanding performance in the second T20I match against Ireland, where Gaikwad showcased his batting prowess by notching up a career-best score of 58 runs. His remarkable innings played a pivotal role in India amassing a total of 185 runs on the scoreboard.
In a significant leap, Gaikwad jumped up the rankings to claim the 87th position, having jumped an impressive 143 places. Gill's efforts have earned him a rating of 743 points, establishing him as India's top-ranked batter in the latest ODI rankings released by the ICC after the opening ODI encounter between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Suryakumar Yadav, despite missing the Ireland series, maintained his stronghold at the summit of the T20I rankings for batters, a reflection of his consistent and impactful performances.
In the ODIs section, Pakistan's batting duo, Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq, secured the first and third positions respectively, with Rassie van der Dussen from South Africa occupying the space between them.
