MS Dhoni, who is considered to be one of the most successful and popular cricketers of all time, already earns a massive amount through advertisements and endorsements. Adding another feather in his cap, Dhoni has now turned the brand ambassador for online game Garena Free Fire.

MS Dhoni is earns a massive amount of his money through brand deals, and signed a multi-crore deal with online gaming company Garena to endorse its mobile game Free Fire, which is one of the most popular online games in the world.

Free Fire is making a comeback in India on September 5, and Garena has decided to partner with some of the most renowned sportspersons to spread its popularity, such as Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Saina Nehwal, Sunit Chhetri and Leander Paes.

Garena unveiled that MS Dhoni will be the new brand ambassador of Free Fire India, and will be the first Indian sportsperson to be featured in the game as a playable character – Thala. This character will also be featured in the Free Fire India Championship (FFIC), announced by Garena.

It must be noted that along with BGMI, formerly known as PUBG, Garena Free Fire was also banned in India by the central government. Now the game is all set to make a comeback in India on September 5 under the new name Free Fire India.

Over the last few years since its launch in 2017, Garena Free Fire has emerged as the top battle royale games across the world, giving tough competition to mobile games like PUBG (BGMI) and Call of Duty.

Garena, which is the Singapore gaming company behind Free Fire India, has also emerged as a top mobile gaming company in the entire world, having a whopping market cap of USD 21 billion, which comes out to Rs 1.73 lakh crore in Indian currency.
