Needing 98 runs to spoil CSK's race to the playoffs, MI didn't get off to a get start as they also lost four wickets in the powerplay.

Talking about the match, Chennai Super Kings folded for just 97 runs as Daniel Sams got a crucial three-wicket spell, while Kumar Kartikeya and Riley Meredith notched a couple of scalps each.
In reply, Mumbai Indians also suffered an early scare as they lose four wickets in the powerplay, but young Tilak Varma and Hrithik Shokeen helped steady the ship later.
By the end of 12 overs of Mumbai's inning, they had scored 80 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
