On the day, Bumrah was exceptional with the ball as he picked up five wickets for his troubles and gave away just seven runs in the eight overs that he bowled. Other than him, Shami and Sharma bagged two and three wickets each respectively as West Indies folded for 100 after 26.5 overs.

And the hosts did exactly that thanks to an extraordinary knock of 135 not out from all-rounder Ben Stokes which gave England a thrilling one-wicket win in the third test match of the Ashes series on Sunday at Headingley.

With just one wicket in hand, England's 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup final hero Stokes took on the responsibility and smashed eight sixes to all corners of the ground in Leeds to get his side close enough to their highest-ever test match second-innings total to win.
