Aussie cricket Marnus Labuschagne has been hit on the grille of his helmet by yet another quick bouncer from England pacer Jofra Archer on Sunday.

Cricket Australia created history when they announced Labuschagne as the first "concussion substitute" after Steve Smith was ruled out due to a concussion for the rest of the second test match at Lord's. 

Labuschagne came in to bat at no.4 for the Aussies after Usman Khawaja was dismissed by Archer. The 25-year-old was instantly welcomed with a quick bouncer from Archer and left the batman on the floor.

The team medic quickly rushed on the field and did a full check-up and assessed the situation before letting Marnus continue. 

On Saturday, Steve Smith was defying the England bowling attack on the fourth day of the second Ashes test at Lord's. But the Aussie cricketer had no choice but to the leave the field after another Jofra Archer's deadly bouncer almost knocked him out unconscious.

Medics from both sides rushed instantly as he was lying flat in the crease. After being thorrowly checked for a concussion, the doctors decided to take Smith off the field for more inspection because it was a deadly blow.

This was not the first time Archer today had bruised Smith. During the 70th over, Smith hit by a 96.1 M/PH delivery from the England pacer and the player was left in a lot of pain. 

He came back to bat again but got out for 92 after resuming his innings having been forced to retire hurt when he was struck by a short ball from England fast bowler Jofra Archer on the fourth day of the second Ashes test at Lord's.
