PE investments deal tally at $17.8 billion in January-November

Private equity investments witnessed in November a declining trend both in value and volume terms with 39 deals worth around $500 million, according to a report by Grant Thornton

$17.8bn – A total of 717 PE deal tally was reported in January to November

4% – Increase in deal volume was seen over the January-November a year ago

9% – Decline in the deal size of investments during the first nine months

25% – Declines in deal values and 39% fall in deal volumes in November

$156 million – India Resurgence Fund investment in Archean Group buziness

$50 million – Invested by Shunwei Capital in start-up Fashnear Technologies

$42 million – TPG Growth invested in NBFC Ess Kay Fincorp Ltd

*November saw the lowest PE volume in the last 4.6 years and the lowest in the last 28 months in value
