Meet man who has designed Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani’s Rs 15000 crore luxurious home Antilia

US-based firm Perkins & Will and Hirsch Bedner Associates, a construction company based in Los Angeles have designed Mukesh Ambani's private residence Antilia.

India’s richest person and Reliance Industries chairperson Mukesh Ambani lives in Antilia, Mumbai with his wife Nita Ambani and children. Antilia is the most expensive private residence in the world worth Rs 15,000 crore. Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s residence Antilia is named after an island. Antilia has 27 stories and it is 173 metres (568 ft) tall and the whole structure is spread over an area of 37,000 square metres. Antilia has 168-car garage, a ballroom, 9 high speed elevators, a 50-seat theatre, terrace gardens, swimming pool, spa, health centre and a temple.

US-based firm Perkins & Will and Hirsch Bedner Associates, a construction company based in Los Angeles have designed Antilia. The construction of Antilia started in 2006 and ended in 2010. Antilia has a large living room which is used by Mukesh Ambani and his family members to entertain guests who come to Antilia. The living room is full of exotic sofas and top-class paintings.

Perkins & Will is based in Chicago and its CEO is Phil Harrison, who is a British businessman. Phil Harrison has worked as vice president and general manager for Google, as corporate vice president of Microsoft. Harrison was the head of development for Mindscape International from 1989 to 1992. He was once a game designer and graphic artist in the UK.

Harrison is a licensed architect in 9 US states and 2 Canadian provinces. He was appointed CEO of Perkins and Will in 2006. Harrison lives with his family in Atlanta.
