Women are thriving as business owners in every industry, from large corporations to cutting-edge start-ups. One such example of a woman succeeding in business is Neha Narkhede.  

Neha Narkhede is the co-founder of cloud company Confluent; Jayshree Ullal, is the president and CEO of computer networking; Neerja Sethi, is the co-founder of IT firm Syntel and Indira Nooyi, the former chair and CEO of PepsiCo. 

Neha Narkhede has been ranked 50th on the top 100 American self-made richest women list with a net worth of $520 million.  In 2022 Neha was ranked 57th on the top 100 list with a net worth of $490 million, according to Forbes. 

Neha was born and raised in Pune, Maharashtra. She graduated from the Savitribai Phule Pune University in Computer Science. For further studies, she headed to the US to study at Georgia Tech.

At LinkedIn, she helped develop the messaging system called Apache Kafka.

She credited her dad for her success. In an interview to CNBC, she said her father selected books for her and told her stories about women who broke the proverbial glass ceiling.

Neha Narkhede said she read books about Indira Gandhi. She also read about Indra Nooyi and Kiran Bedi growing up. Reading these stories cultivated a sense of empowerment in her.

Neha Narkhede lives in Palo Alto, California. Her net worth is a whopping Rs 4296 crore.
