Instead of joining her family business after graduation, Anjana Reddy decided to build a new one from scratch. Years later, she counts herself among the wealthiest self-made women of India. She ranked 31st on the most recent Hurun richest self-made Indian women list and draws her wealth from Universal Sportsbiz, a fashion company she founded and runs.

Reddy holds a unique place as being the businesswoman who is behind the success of brands co-owned and backed by two of India’s biggest sports celebrities in Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. Brands under her firm's umbrella include Collectabilia where Sachin is a co-investor, Imara and most famously Wrogn, which she co-owns with Kohli.

Reddy went to the US for further education and holds degrees from Purdue University and the University of Illinois. In 2011, she returned to India and pitched an idea of a sports memorabilia brand to investors. The little master became a celebrity investor in her idea. She founded USPL the next year.

From memorabilia business which faced hurdles in the market, Reddy expanded to fashion wear. There are more celebrity investors associated with Reddy, like Kriti Sanon and Aditya Roy Kapur who back the brand Single. On the path to making her venture a success, Reddy worked for 18 hours a day at times. As per the recent Kotak Private Banking Hurun Leading Wealthy Women list, Reddy commands a net worth of Rs 300 crore.
