Yes, the mother of adorable 6-year-old girl, Aaradhya, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, was crowned as Miss World 1994 in the Sun City of South Africa.
Apart from this the actress also won the Miss Photogenic award and Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty− Asia and Oceania.
Dressed in a sparkly white, embellished gown, Aishwarya looked stunning, as she walked the ramp with poise, and gracefully asnwered the question which eventually lead to her win!
The question asked to her was- What qualities should Miss World 1994 embody? and her answer to this was beautiful!

Earlier, in the same year, the wife of actor Abhishek Bachchan, bagged second place in the 1994 Miss India pageant, behind actress Sushmita Sen, and was crowned Miss India World, also winning five other sub-titles, Miss Catwalk, Miss Miraculous, Miss Photogenic, Miss Perfect Ten and Miss Popular.
Both Aishwarya and Sushmita were participants at the Miss India pageant held at Goa back in January 16, 1994.
The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress was already a known name in the fashion and modelling world in comparison to Sushmita. Many were certain that it was Aishwarya who will be crowned as Miss India 1994. It came as a shock when Sushmita Sen beat Aishwarya and emerged victorious in the finale.
But how?
Well, it was during the intelligence or the personality question and answer round, that the tables turned.
Both Sushmita and Aishwarya were locked in a tie and it was their answers during the tie-breaker round that the former managed to beat the latter to win the title.
