When I came, Bhatt Sahab had told me ‘Rahul, this is going to be a lonely journey.’ That I had considered very seriously."

He also shared about the fact that he didn't seek approvals from his then colleagues and neither did they during his career. Roy shared, "I have seen a lot of actors, my seniors who have been through that and abandoned but I have never needed a crutch. I don’t seek my colleagues' approval and nor do they. If I am a part of a huge setup where my role if blink and miss why would I do that?"
