Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, The Vaccine War has finally been released in the theatres this week on Thursday, September 28. The film took a slow start at the box office with an opening of just Rs 85 lakhs but the positive reviews is helping the film to grow with each passing day.

As per the entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk.com, The Vaccine War collected Rs 1.75 crore on its third day of release, seeing an astounding growth of over 94% from its second day (Rs 90 lakh), taking the three-day total India net collection to Rs 3.50 crore. The film's worldwide collection stands at Rs 4.35 crore. The film should see another incedible growth on Sunday and Monday as the makers have launched a Buy 1 Get 1 offer for these two days,

Touted to be India's first bio-science film, The Vaccine War features Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, Sapthami Gowda, Raima Sen, Girja Oak, Nivedita Bhattacharya, Mohan Kapur and Vivek Prabhaka in the lead roles. The film has been bankrolled by director Vivek Agnihotri and his wife Pallavi Joshi under their banner I Am Buddha productions.

The movie pays tribute to the medical fraternity of scientists and doctors who manufactured India's own indgenious vaccine under the worst circumstances and succeeded, showing the immense pressure they were under and the many difficulties they faced during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Vivek Agnihotri directorial has clashed at the box office with Fukrey 3. The comedy threequel, starring Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Pankaj Tripathi, Varun Sharma, and Manjot Singh among others, has taken a better start at the box office as it has earned Rs 28.30 crore in three days.
