Katrina Kaif, at 35, is one of the most eligible bachelorettes in Bollywood right now. Since her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor in 2016, Katrina has remained single. And her 'Bharat' co-star and former lover Salman Khan feels it's high time she settles down.
In a recent interview to Bollywood Hungama, when asked what would Katrina be if not an actor, Salman replied that she "should be married and produce kidS." When a startled Katrina intervened and explained the interviewer's question to him once again and asked Salman to name a profession, Salman just said that being a hands-on mother also involves a lot of work.
Earlier in Arbaaz Khan's chat show Pinch, when Katrina was asked about her wedding plans, she had said, "No clue. I am taking one day at a time. Life is unpredictable. We don't know what happens."
But she did add, "As a person, I do believe in the institution of marriage and having kids. That I do."
Meanwhile, Salman Khan says he is keen to have children but is not looking for marriage at the moment. In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, Salman opened up on plans of fatherhood. "I want children, but with children comes the mother. I don't want the mother, but they need one. But I have a whole village to take care of them. Maybe I can work out a win-win situation for everyone."
When asked about his marriage plans, Salman reaffirmed, "Not for some time."
Earlier there were reports that Salman might opt for surrogacy. A report in Times of India had suggested that Salman is ready to follow in the footsteps of friends Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, and opt for surrogacy.
On the work front, Katrina and Salman are awaiting the release of 'Bharat' - an official remake of a Korean film, 'An Ode To My Father'. The film, which also stars Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff and Tabu, is set to hit the screens on June 5.
