As India celebrates 73rd Independence Day today, Shah Rukh Khan’s show TED Talk India, in collaboration with the host broadcaster, will be distributing eco-friendly flags. This initiative is inspired by Shubhendu Sharma, an industrial engineer and eco-entrepreneur. He is also a TED Talks India speaker. After his motivational speech for TED Talk India 2017, which was aimed at planting trees and creating mini forests, gained traction, he went around the world planting trees and has been doing notable work in his field.

The eco-friendly flags will contain seeds, on disposal of which the planting of trees will take place. The team has sourced 2000 miniature eco-friendly flags that have seeds embedded in them.
