Katrina Kaif reveals what will prompt her to take up a web series

Lately, many Bollywood actors have jumped on to the digital bandwagon. Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen in Sacred Games, Irrfan Khan will star in The Ministry. Vivek Oberoi, who has already done The Inside Edge, has also signed Ekta Kapoor’s The Family.

However, we haven’t seen a Bollywood A-list actress venturing into the online space yet.

When After Hrs spoke to Katrina Kaif, the actress said that though web series have become huge today, she is yet to gravitate towards them. She said, “The (digital) platform has become an amazing medium for sure. Web series are being talked about. But then again, it’s all about getting a great concept.”

When asked her if she would be willing to attempt it, she replied, “When people ask me if I want to do a love story, a biopic, a comedy when it comes to films, I don’t really have an answer to that because at the end of the day, it’s the content that drives me. It doesn’t matter what zone it is.”

But she adds that right now her priorities are clear. “As of now, I’m concentrating on films. If someone comes to me with a great script for the digital forum, I’ll give it a thought. I’m not against the idea of doing it, but cinema would still be my priority,” says the actress, who has two movies lined up next —Thugs Of Hindostan with Aamir Khan and Zero with Shah Rukh Khan.
