Kareena Kapoor's much-anticipated digital debut in Sujoy Ghosh's adaptation of Japanese author Higashino Keigo's best-selling 2005 novel The Devotion of Suspect X is finally here. The film now has an official title and also a release date, as per a recent report. The film is slated for release on Netflix next month.

The movie, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, has been titled Jaane Jaan and is scheduled to make its Netflix debut in September, as reported by Pinkvilla. "After considering multiple titles, the makers have zeroed in on 'Jaane Jaan' as they feel it gives an interesting reference to the storyline. They haven’t locked in the exact streaming date yet but are eyeing the fourth Friday of September, coinciding with Kareena’s birthday, which falls on September 21. The makers will unveil the trailer on September 5 at an event in Mumbai," the source was quoted as saying in the Pinkvilla report.

While the official annoucement for Jaane Jaan is still pending, the film has still piqued the interest of the audience. Kareena plays a divorced, single mother, whose life takes an unexpected turn when her estranged ex-husband reappears one evening. The plot of the story develops as she tries to hide her husband's death with the help of her neighbor.

Sujoy Ghosh is renowned for his previous creations like Kahaani and Badla fame. In the criminal thriller, Kareena co-stars opposite Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. The movie began filming last year and was completed early this year. It is produced by Jay Shewakramani's Northern Lights Films and Akshai Puri's 12th Street Entertainment.

Kareena is also working on a Hansal Mehta thriller with a working title of The Buckingham Murders that is set in London. The movie is still in post-production. The actress will also be seen in Rajesh Krishnan's The Crew, sharing screen space with Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The 'comedy chick-flick heist film' is scheduled for theatrical release on March 22 next year.
